Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. A beautiful and smart actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who aspire to become famous in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial appearances in popular television series led to her becoming well-known for her part in the character on Ally McBeal, where she played Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles on the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. During this time she was the main character in some failures on the box-office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to sing prominent characters for animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen characters, failed to achieve any success. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her role as an actress. Liu carefully selects roles to avoid being a stereotype within an industry that is highly competitive. She's acknowledged her Chinese heritage, but she doesn't allow it to restrict her creativity.
