
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), an Mexican crime-drama film. She went on to play in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born to the family of a Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. The brother of her and baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was formerly engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career in the field of Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011, she played the leading role of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. however, it didn't make the final shortlist. For her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. The next year, she played Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was the Norwegian thriller.
